PUBLIC HEALTH AT WASH U ANNUAL CONFERENCE

For the last three years, I’ve designed the core identity for the WashU Institute for Public Health Conference, an annual event focused on timely issues in public health. Each year there’s an overall theme that helps me frame the identity around specific visual cues. I typically create three different approaches for the client to respond to and then refine the selected design. Various configurations and color systems are used for their internal team to apply.

The 2024 theme was focused on how technology is helping public health move forward into the 21st century. I was inspired by microscopic and digitalized visual cues. The selected approach uses a pixelized X to convey a more digital tech feel.

The 2023 conference was focused on public initiatives. My approach was inspired by transit maps and environment signage cues. The selected approach uses typography that moves from point to point.

The 2022 conference was focused on human aspects of public health. I took visual cues from human hands and groups of people in various configurations.
