TILE 360 was a large format type installation designed to change over time and installed in the gallery of John Burroughs School in St. Louis, MO. No buttons. No wires. Just a staple gun and 1,080 pieces of paper. I worked with colleague and professor Jen McKnight to transform the 30' x 10' curved wall to create a fluttering veneer of paper tiles to start a design interaction with a call to Reflect & Respond. Jen worked on the RESOLVE typography and I created REFLECT. With the help of the Burroughs community, we invited students to enter a dialogue with us, and reflect on what they did in 2023, and set an intention for what they want to do with 2024. Over time, Burroughs and University of Missouri–St. Louis design students played a role in interacting with and transforming the wall. I took it a step further and repurposed / transformed all the paper into usable notepads for students and faculty. Article here.
