The July 2022 issue features the region's best in dining, arts, shopping, startups, sports, entertainment, and more—all chosen by readers and editors. I was commissioned to design the cover and six interior section pages focused specifically on collages featuring letterpress letters, cuts, and dingbats. After surveying previous covers and how the magazine presents in a retail environment, I chose the vibrant color scheme of CMYK. This allowed for two things: purely saturated colors really pop when offset printed and overprinting each element creates additional colors. Plus, the letters appear to be stamped directly onto the pages creating a more tactile experience.
