The Douglas B. Dowd Modern Graphic History Library at Washington University in St. Louis is comprised of original art and printed material from many fields of popular American pictorial graphic culture. I was inspired by classic and bold typography in a poster format for the core identity. The simplicity of this arrangement allows for various color and image combinations to be used for any instance. Of course, the overall goal is to make sure the illustrations shine.
